Parking tickets, West Point & lunchboxes

Alright, So the past month has been crazy busy for me. Getting 3 parking tickets within a 6 week period takes up a lot of time :p. I recently starting working at a clothing boutique in Bronxville called Yum Yum Tree. I have only worked there a few weeks but so far, so good. It's a laid back work environment compared to my last job (being a nanny for a set of 2 yr old twin boys and a 5 yr old). I miss my boys...

A few weekends ago I attended the Army vs. Tulane at West Point. I went to the game with my friend Abby whom I have been friends with since we played on the same basketball team in high school. It was fun reconnecting with her and experiencing what college was like from her point of view.

For the record: that game was intense.

Lets just say they are on a whole new level and are completely different than OU games. Imagine: 60,000 less people and sea of 4,000 cadets. They are crazy fans to say the least. It was definitely an interesting experience...

Trace Adkins & Caitlin

That weekend I stayed with Abby who attends West Point and witnessed the college life from the military point of view. Believe it or not, it was really fun! (they drink A LOT) We tailgated, played cornhole (beanbag toss for those of you who remember playing it in 1st grade) and hung out with some Army boys. If you know me you know I like to keep people on their toes, so it was only a matter of time before I convinced some of the cadets I was a lieutenant. Can you imagine someone calling me ma'am? ha.

Abby and I

I have enjoyed the past month and a half here in NY but I am definitely homesick for a lunchbox (is that sad ?) I can’t wait to come home over thanksgiving break and consume at least 9 of them.

first day....

disko’s first day....

Toosday, Septembur 15, 2009

I started my new internship with m radio yesterday. The VMA’s were the night before

so I didn’t have to go in until noon. As soon as I walked in there were donuts on the table, and I knew right then that it was going to be a good semester. I spent the day doing basic intern work and got to eat lunch with my other intern friend Gina.

I found out that I will be working Moday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am-6pm and are super excited and can’t wait to go back .

Maybe I can spend my day off looking for a job.....? We’ll see.

hair

Hair

I saw my first broadway musical, and WOW!!! I have never really been a fan of musicals but I can tell you now that I am. My friend Erin met up with my mother and I and showed us a good time. We started the night out at Blockheads; a mexican restaurant and enjoyed nachos and $3 margaritas before the show. After Blockheads we went to Hair which is played at the Al Hirschfeld Theater in NYC. If you have never been a fan or been to a broadway show I highly suggest attending at least one. If you have the time and patience like I do, ha! I suggest standing in line at Tkts. It is a discount Booth that offer tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays at up to 50% off! That is what we did and got half off!!! In the 4 days I have been here it has been hands down the best experience....so far.
